My file upload is failing – what should I do?
If you're having trouble uploading a file to Pickit, there are a few quick things you can try to determine whether the issue is related to the file, your browser, or your connection.
-
Try uploading the file again
Start by trying the upload once more. A temporary connection issue can sometimes interrupt an upload even if everything else appears to be working normally. Refresh the page, and try again.
If you're uploading several files at once, you can also try uploading a smaller batch to see whether the issue persists.
-
Check your internet connection
Make sure your connection is stable before trying the upload again.
Large files may naturally take longer to upload, particularly on slower or shared connections. If your connection is unstable, wait until it has stabilized and retry the upload.
-
Try another file
Try uploading a different file to determine whether the problem affects all uploads or one particular file.
If other files upload successfully, the issue may be related to the specific file you're trying to upload.
-
Check the file
Make sure the file opens correctly on your computer and isn't corrupted.
If only one file is failing, try opening and resaving it in its original application before uploading it again.
-
Refresh Pickit
Refresh the page and try the upload again. If that doesn't help, try signing out of Pickit and signing back in before retrying.
-
Try another browser or a private window
Browser extensions, cached data, or local browser settings can occasionally interfere with uploads.
Try opening Pickit in an incognito/private browser window and upload the file again. You can also try another supported browser to see whether the issue is specific to your current browser.
If the upload works in an incognito/private window, the issue is most likely related to cached browser data. Try clearing your browser cache, then return to Pickit and try the upload again.
