How do I install the Pickit desktop app?

Pickit Desktop is a native Mac- and PC-based version of your Pickit DAM. It lets you work distraction-free by moving assets from Pickit libraries straight to any folder or app on your desktop—no browser or add-in required.

MacOS:

  • Download the Pickit installation file.

  • Once the download is complete, click the file to open the setup window.

  • Drag and drop the Pickit icon into the Applications folder.

  • Go to your Launchpad and click Pickit to open the app.

  • Log in with your Pickit credentials to start using the app.

 

Windows:

  1. Download the Pickit installation file.

  2. When the download is complete, click the file to launch the setup.

  3. Choose your preferred installation destination and follow the steps in the setup wizard.

  4. When the installation is finished, you can open Pickit from your desktop shortcut or the Start menu.

Windows Defender Notification

The first time you open the app, you may see a message from Windows Defender SmartScreen because the app is newly released.

  • Click More info

  • Select Run anyway to launch Pickit

Once opened the first time, you shouldn’t see this message again.
